A little about why we make the food we make.
Something Worth Making started as a thought that stuck with me while shopping one day.
That day I was caught in the same familiar loop: pick up the usual ingredients, make one of the usual dinners, repeat. The food was fine. That was part of the problem. I wanted to feel excited about cooking again, not just get another meal out of the way.
So I started changing things. Trying flavours I hadn't cooked with before, borrowing ideas from different kitchens. Getting a few things very wrong and keeping the ones that worked. Some recipes came together quickly, others took far more attempts than I would care to admit!
Something Worth Making is what grew out of that. It's food made and tested in a home kitchen, using ingredients you can actually find. Some dishes are familiar with a twist; others might take you somewhere new. None of them should feel out of reach.
I hope you'll cook from these pages, make a few changes of your own, and find something you can't wait to make again. Whether you're feeding family, friends or just yourself, the time you spend in the kitchen ought to give you something back.
